Sometimes imitation blank DVD-R media is distributed falsely under major brand names. How can you tell if the manufacturer is truly who they say they are?

You can check the Media ID Code. The Media ID code is information preformatted on the DVD you’re using. This will tell who the manufacturer truly is. How do you check the Media ID Code? You can use a special utility such as DVD Decrypter to check it. You simply put the DVD in your drive, open the program, and select the drive you put the DVD in. The Media ID Code will then show in the results.
