The Rimage Prism Printer is one of the most popular CD/DVD printers available for duplication facilities. The Rimage Prism is a thermal printer that transfers images from a ribbon to the surface of the disc. The maximum resolution is 600 dpi, so only simple images should be used such as text, logos, and other branding. Images can be produced using either monochrome or 3-color ribbons.
Why is the Rimage Prism such a popular printing option? It is incredibly efficient, user-friendly, and inexpensive. When used manually, CDs can be printed at a rate of 300 discs/hour. For jobs that need to be turned over rapidly with a clean professional look, there is no better option. There is also an autoloading option, so you can leave your jobs running unattended.
Some jobs don’t require a photorealistic image and the great time it takes to print them. For instance, CDs or DVDs that are being produced for the purposes of archival, financial information, etc. aren’t used for marketing purposes and therefore only need a simple image. For these jobs, the Rimage Prism is extremely fast and able to handle great volumes.
We also provide several different colors for Rimage ribbons. Ribbons come in Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Dark Blue, Dark Green, Dark Red, Grey, Green, Light Blue, Light Green, Magenta, Orange, Purple, Red, White, and Yellow.
